A native of Ashland, Ky., Rick Greene works as a Senior Public Affairs Specialist to the federal government and previously spent more than 20 years as a professional journalist at daily newspapers in the Ohio Valley.
His background includes editorships at two Ohio dailies where he oversaw all aspects of the editorial operations. His familiarity with print, broadcast and online media makes him uniquely qualified to evaluate a company's needs and determine the best public relations strategies.
His work has been recognized nationally by the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association, Suburban Newspapers of America and the Associated Press Sports Editors for graphic design, investigative reporting, enterprise reporting, feature writing and column writing. He has also been recognized multiple times by state newspaper associations in Ohio (Associated Press Society of Ohio) and Kentucky (Kentucky Press Association).
He graduated in 1993 from the highly-regarded journalism program at the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf and listening to music.
He lives in Waverly, Ohio, with his wife Brooke, his 14-year-old son Max and his 8-year-old stepdaughter Ava.
